Clear Peaks Renewable Rate

The Clear Peaks Renewable Rate gives customers the option of powering their homes and businesses with 100% renewable energy. Revenue from the program will support current and future renewable energy projects.

How can I participate?

Any HL&P customer that has not been shut-off or received more than one disconnect notice in the last twelve months may enroll in the program by contacting customer service through their account’s Smarthub Quick Link Contact Form or contacting a Customer Service Representative at (435)654-1581. Customers may opt in and opt out of the program at any time, keeping in mind that changes may not be made within ten days of billing.

Where will the renewable energy come from?

The renewable energy for the Clear Peaks Renewable Rate will come from renewable hydro and wind powered energy resources during the first year of the program. Additional renewable resources will be supported by revenue from the program.

How does the program work?

Renewable Energy is offered to customers in 100 kwh blocks for just 90 cents a block. Every ten blocks that are purchased represent a megawatt-hour of energy produced by a renewable resource. Heber Light & Power will retire a renewable energy certificate (REC) for every megawatt of energy bought under the Clear Peaks Program.
