Instructions for Adding Electric Service

Application & Fee for “Will Serve” Letter
1. Customer Pays $200 fee & submits Will Serve Application
2. HL&P Project Manager evaluates project & responds with a “Will Serve” letter, upon approval
Power Design, Application & Fee
When project is ready for design phase:
1. Pay $300 job initiation fee*
2. Submit Power Design Application and Site Plan via email to building@heberpower.com (send PDF & DWG)

*Each resubmitted project design will be charged an additional $20 per residence for redesign.
Job Evaluation & Line Extension Design
1. HL&P PM conducts site assessment
2. PM completes line extension design
3. PM provides work order # and job invoice
Line Extension
1. Pay Invoice
2. Contractor/Developer installs conduit to HL&P Standards
3. HL&P inspects & completes GPS of conduit prior to back fill.
4. After final inspection, HL&P crew is assigned to complete line extension

Impact & Meter Fee Payment
1. Pay impact fee & meter charge (fees based on service size).
Temporary Service
1. If needed for construction phase, apply for temporary service using the Electrical Service Application.
Meter Base Inspection & Connection
1. The applicable city or county department will inspect the meter base and provide the approval to HL&P
2. Upon notification of approval, HL&P schedules as serviceman to connect the meter.
